What is SmartBox used for?

SmartBox provides advanced monitoring of valuable shipments. In addition to the current location, it also monitors and transmits physical data about the environment, such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, light level, or 3D orientation, information about collapses and impacts.

All of these data are transmitted to a server and allows users to monitor them in the real-time via our AutoGPS system. A sophisticated notification alert system allows users to react immediately to predefined situations. Thanks to intelligent power management, Smartbox can work long months without the need of charging the battery. These unique technical features predetermine Smartbox as a specialized tool for tracking valuable, fragile and environmentally sensitive shipments on both short or long types of transports.

Use of TEMS

Immediate on-line overview of a shipment’s conditions and exact location

Freight forwarder’s monitoring shipments with TEMS will raise their level of customer overall service awareness by providing them with an online real-time overview of the current status of their shipments. At the same time, they have active alerts and reports from each transport so they can resolve any questions of possible damage of cargo goods during transport.

Transport protection of expensive, fragile and sensitive shipments

Transport Environment Monitoring System (TEMS) is an advanced solution for transporting expensive, fragile equipment and other environmentally sensitive cargo, for which constant control and alerts of environmental changes is required – typically food, medicine, electronics, human organs, chemicals or live animals.

Monitoring transportation of perishable fresh foods, cargo, or sensitive goods

When a refrigeration / heating failure occurs during transport of sensitive perishable cargo, TEMS can facilitate saving the load by alerting the driver or whoever can solve the situation. In such cases also summary reports are very important because they do not allow receiving company which mishandles cargo to declare that goods were spoiled when they arrived.

Notification of unauthorized opening of the shipment

TEMS additionally provides information of unauthorized parcel opening during transport. This is possible with the light sensor which is part of the EMX probe. Since freight forwarders started to use TEMS, they have realized a significant drop in the amount of goods lost, stolen, or spoiled during transport.

Long-distance transport monitoring
